GRADE-WISE

Grade 5 & 6 (Girls)

Talents Day will be held on June 24th. Through this day, students will be provided a platform to promote their artistic and musical talents.

PTCS (Parents Teacher Contact Session) will be organised on June 25th. Parents will get constructive feedback of their ward during this session.

Grade 5 & 6 (Boys)

Talents Day will be held on June 23rd. This day will provide students with an opportunity to exhibit their artistic and musical talents. It will also help to improve their self-confidence.

Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)

Flair Forte- Group Dance, Singing & Drama will be organised on June 24th. This activity will be an opportunity for students to display their talent in dancing, singing and acting. They will display their creativity, organizational skills and coordination.

Grade 7 & 8 (Boys)

Talents Day will be held on June 26th. The objective of this day is to provide students an opportunity to exhibit their artistic & musical talents and thereby improve self-confidence. They will perform dance, music, instrumental on stage.

Grade 9 & 10 (Girls)

Talents Scan will be held on June 23rd. This activity will be an opportunity for students to demonstrate their talent in dance, team spirit and stage presence.

Thematic Assembly titled ‘International Yoga Day’ and Hindi Divas will be conducted during this month (dates are to be confirmed).

Grade 10 (Girls)

Poster Making with the theme titled ‘addiction and its effects’ will be conducted on June 23rd. The purpose of this activity for students is to develop their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills by working together. It will also help them gain application, analysis and synthesis skills.

Grade 9 & 10 (Boys)

Creative Writing Competition (Hindi) will be conducted on June 23rd. The purpose of this competition for students is to demonstrate their ability to produce writing that is original and imaginative. It also aims to instill creative writing skills, boost confidence and improve language skill.

Poster Making on ‘Say No to Tobacco’ will be organised on June 25th. This activity will help to raise awareness on the harmful & deadly effects of tobacco use and second hand smoke exposure. It also aims to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

First Term Examination will continue till June 27th for grade 11 and till June 30th for grade 12.

Sessions for remedial work and doubt clearing will be conducted during this month (on all non-exam days) for selected students.

Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)

First Term Examination will continue till June 26th for grade 11 and till June 29th for grade 12.

SUBJECT - WISE

Arabic Spelling competition will be conducted on June 23rd for grade 5 & 6. This competition will help students to improve their Arabic vocabulary.

Elocution competition (Islamic Studies) will be held on June 23rd for grade 9 & 10 boys. Through this competition, students will increase their knowledge and understanding of the topic given to them. It will also help them improve their confidence when they speak in front of the audience.

Arabic Magazine will be published on June 25th for grade 7 & 8. This activity aim to give chance to students to write an Arabic article. It will be an opportunity for them to showcase their talent in calligraphy or any other art.

COUNSELLING CENTRE

Talks on the topic ‘Curtain Raiser for Grade 11’ will be conducted on June 18th for students of grade 10 boys, on June 21st for parents of grade 10 and on June 23rd for students of grade 10 girls. The purpose of these talks is to guide students and parents about the criteria for admission to grade 11 and to help them make the right career choice.

A Talk for Students on the topic ‘Time Management’ will be held during this month (yet to be confirmed) for grade 5 girls. This talk aim to provide students with effective strategies to improve their time management skills.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

CPD Program on Microsoft Office Level 2010 will be conducted from June 16th till 26th for teachers. Through this program, each staff will undergo a 5 days training which includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Diploma in Special Education Needs for IS Team members will conclude on June 18th at National Academy, Karama. It is designed to help educational practitioners explore concepts of special education and approaches relevant to the teaching & learning of students with special education needs & disabilities.

Additional Senior School Forthcoming Activities for the Month July 2019

Grade 11 & 12 (Girls)

Results of the first term examinations will be declared online on July 3rd.

Open House will be held on July 4th. Timings will be informed later.

Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)

PTCS will be organised on July 4th. This session aims to discuss with parents about their wards’ performance in the first term.
