Grade 7 & 8 (Girls)
Thematic Assembly titled ‘Disaster Management’ scheduled to be held on May 13th is postponed to May 20th. The purpose of this assembly for students is to address and bring awareness about a natural or man-made disaster through preparedness, mitigation, response & recovery.
Grade 11 & 12 (Boys)
Poem Writing Competition will be conducted on May 18th. This competition aims to promote writing and appreciation of poetry. Students will use elements of poetry such as diction, rhyme scheme, tone, imagery, figures of speech, theme and more while writing a poem.
Eco Forum will be organised on May 25th. This activity will help students to develop their analytical skills, interpret the economic environment and visualize the economic future of the world. It will be a platform for them to showcase understanding of the subject.
Story Writing will be conducted on May 29th. The objective of this competition for students is to foster the development and love of creative writing. It will also be an opportunity for them to demonstrate the ability to produce writing that is clear & logical and to produce writing that is original & imaginative.
World Scholar Cup will be held on May 17th & 18th for students born after year 2005 (grades 5 to 12). This international event aims to motivate students of all backgrounds to discover new strengths and practice new skills. It will also be an opportunity to inspire a global community of future scholars and leaders. IHS is official partner with World Scholar Cup and as many as students can participate in this event. There is no selection system. Students can register online through website.
Interest Test for grade 8 girls & boys and Personality Test for grade 9 girls will continue till this month This online test will help to measure grade 8 students likes & dislikes towards various activities and relate it to careers. It also aims at creating self-awareness and giving a holistic picture for grade 9 girls’ dominant characteristics & traits.
CPD Program on Microsoft Office Level 2010 will be conducted from May 16th till 30th for teachers. Through this program, each staff will undergo a 5 days training which includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
